Jack and Jill
of the Woodlands
Greetings and Welcome!
On behalf of The Wonderful Woodlands Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., I am delighted and distinctly honored to welcome you to our Chapter website. We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about our organization and we welcome the opportunity to share the amazing programming for our children that focuses on our theme: "Achieving Excellence With Children as Our C.O.M.P.A.S.S." (Children Observing Mothers Passionate about Service and Scholarship)
Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was founded in 1938 by Marian Stubbs Thomas and a group of pioneering mothers dedicated to cultivating future African American leaders. The core of their focus was strengthening children and teens, ages 2-19 through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. In 1986, because of a shared belief and vision in our own community, The Woodlands Chapter was chartered.
The exceptional women of The Woodlands Chapter are highly invested in their family and community. Our commitment to nurturing leadership and social responsibility in children is the foundation on which we all stand and our love for Jack and Jill is what stabilizes us. I am honored to serve as the 13th president of the chapter and hope that you will remain inspired to stay connected .
With Children as Our Compass,
Freda Knight
13th Chapter President
